I don't know about that statement of shotgun shells prevalent. I checked the inventory of the walmart a close by and no shotgun shells for Betsy my 12 gauge

I can walk in to bass pro, Walmart or any local gunshop and they've always got a few boxes of shotgun shells

They have plenty of target loads here and small game loads but if you are looking for slugs or 00 Buck its hard to find.

I buy a 15 round box of Winchester slugs every time I walk in Wal-Mart. 12 bucks and they're always in stock. Buckshot is another story, but most Wal-Mart's in my area have some buckshot loads and all have the slugs.

+1 here. Buckshot is hit or miss.

I'd rather the slug anyway. Buckshot is nice, but slugs are cheaper and pack More of a wallop...

I still got all the ammo I bought after obumer got elected the first time. Im starting to think obama is deep undercover sales agent for gun and ammo companies! Who has sold more guns and ammo than him? we need to have like a t shirt with him on it that says gun and ammo salesman of the year!
