Military Leaders through out history have been "fired". It is not like a civilian being fired because all a civilian can lose is the job. This guy will be reduced one or two steps in rank and forced to retire. The funny part is that he will be paid at the last active duty rank held for more than two years. Being fired is supposed to look bad politically. In 6 months time, no one will remember him.

okay, that makes sense, i know that if they had done something wrong, they could be brought up on charges and court-martialed.
