I say publish it. Every time someone gets shot with a stollen gun or breaks into the home, sue the newspaper and anyone else that you can get your teeth into.
We're only the bad guys if we let them feel like the bad guys.

Definitely wouldn't happen here. The bad boys would be round to steel your guns. Example bellow.

Templepatrick man Geoff Kerr shot 'defending family' Geoff Kerr was shot dead in his home in Templepatrick
A man was shot through the heart as he tried to defend his family from two men who had forced their way into his home to steal guns, a court has heard

sent the good Senator an email as well

Quote:
Senator Ball,
I would like to thank you for your prompt response to the grossly negligent actions of the Journal News by publishing the names and addresses of legally permitted handgun owners. It is this type of dogma that leaves gun owners with no choice but to resist any type of meaningful debate with regards to gun issues in America.

If I may interject for a moment regarding your proposed legislation ... NY State already has laws on the books that are intended to prevent such an instance as this from happening - http://assembly.state.ny.us/leg/?sh=printbill&bn=A09388&term=

As you can see on February 24 of 2012 the registry law was amended, charging the NY State Police with the oversight of all handgun licensee's information. Furthermore, regardless of the Journal News's insistence that a freedom of information request was submitted, no person or entity other than a law enforcement agency/agent is allowed to receive such information for any purpose other than law enforcement related.

Either the NY State Police have been derelict in their duty, the Journal News reporter misrepresented himself on the freedom of information request or a combination of the two and or more. In any event, at no time should a list such as this ever been made public ... least of all for the sake of slandering and quilting law abiding citizens for exercising their God given rights!

Thank you for your time.

Regards,
DOG2000TJ

Default You know what?

I wouldn't be surprised if several of those homes are broken into and their guns stolen, and maybe a few other things, over the next few months. It would be just as unfortunate as that boating accident so many of you had.
