Florida: Open-carry approved in committee


All I can find it that it has been passed but I can't find the Law itself.
I would like to read the law's peculiarities myself so that I know what I can and cannot do.

The House Judiciary Committee on Thursday easily approved the so called "open carry" bill for concealed weapons permit holders. The vote was 14 4 with Democrats John Julien of Miami and Darren Soto of Orlando joining all Republicans in voting for the bill (HB 517), which is sponsored by Rep. Chris Dorworth, R Lake Mary. He says the bill is needed to prevent lawful permit holders from inadvertently violating Florida law.

Great news for Florida!!! I think it is total Bull that if you have a ccw, and you firearm is even momentarily exposed, it is a crime. WTF!! What is the purpose of that anyway, so some creptard ding-dong doesn't get frightened?
