"Oath breakers", my butt!!! Don't blame the cops for enforcing the laws. They are sworn to enforce laws. If you don't like the laws complain to the political hack legislators who passed those bills and the governors who signed those bills into law.

Years ago i attended a speech given given by a prominent OK legislator. The idiot was estatic that the OK legislature and governor had made 200 new laws that legislative session. He really did piss me off. Reminded the idiot that 25 percent of OK drivers have no liability insurance on their autos. Reminded him that the legislature steadfastly refused to strenghten the law and allow for heavy fines and the suspension of drivers licenses of those who drive without liability insurance.

Default The real issue - the teeth

The real issue here is not SCOTUS or the Federal courts allowing permitted carry / open carry. The problem is the non-defined latitude in the state and city laws regarding restrictions.

One state (like mine) lets you get a concealed carry permit and you can open carry. Period. As long as you pass a standard background check. Fair, easy, non-convoluted.

The problem is when these local governments abide by the letter of the law (you can get a permit) but violate the spirit by placing onerous conditions. Great example is NJ. MAY PERMIT. SO when hell freezes over and you have a good reason to visit hell, you can have a carry permit.

You can own a handgun but it must have non-standard magazine restrictions (10 rounds).

Until a Federal court clearly defines what is the standards are, DC, the states, the counties will have the ability to screw it up.

Put the blame where the blame belongs.
They are ALL the problem!!!
They ALL took the oath and they ALL violate it regularly. Every 'step' in the process is part of the 'checks and balances' of our government. BUT, we in in LE are the face of the government. If the legislators pass laws which are obviously a violation of the citizens rights the LEO's should not enforce them, if the LEO's enforce them the prosecutors should not prosecute them, if the prosecutors do prosecute the judges should dismiss the case. And finally, the last part of the system is the jury, and the judges wrongfully instruct the jury 100% of the time by telling them they have no authority to consider the constitutionality of the law.
