Depends on state law. I'm not at all familiar with Georgia state law but in Ohio it would be a big no-no. Not a felony, but I believe the penalty is revocation of your permit and a two year wait to apply again. Same as misdemeanor "crimes of violence" such as agg. menacing. The problem in Ohio is that CPZ's (Criminal Protection Zones) carry weight unlike in some states where they are considered to basically be a simple suggestion.

with him being only 20? i really think he is feeding you a line of crap. he may have a handgun, but i doubt it's legal to carry as he says. and his dad got him the carry permit because he works as a federal corrections officer? that i also find hard to believe. again i think he's feeding you a line of crap. sounds like a line of BS!

Why not just call campus security and ask. Tell the story anyway you like. For the record, Im callin 100%, USDA approved BS but I feel like I need closure on this.

The problem is that they are actually a police dept. Arkansas State University is a state funded school so they get real police. I don't think they would answer questions about an alleged drug bust for ME a lowly peasant.

You don't have to ask about a drug bust. Just tell them you know a guy who claims that he carries a gun and has a permit that allows for it and you think he's full of crap, but you thought they might like to know for security purposes.
