They may feel they want to see how the dust settles with NY, Chicago, Colorado and other high-level pending issues before making a commitment. Just my opinion.

This is dated Aug 2013 - not new but describes their situation:

Im less than 30 miles from the Ilion Remington Complex, its huge!!!!! Your right on, they cant move out yet, CHucky Sckrewmore bought them for another few years rebuilding sniper rifles and they cant pull out now. They cant hardly stay in NY without Government welfare, the taxes and employee overhead are out of this world expensive here.

Yes in deed! Beretta USA is building a new plant in the Great State of Tennessee!
Scr** the North East and their political anti- Second Amendment political cronies! I seen NY was "NOW!" offering 10 years free taxes to any companies who would come and relocate in NY! I wonder why! Obvioulsy, their anti gun agenda has totally blinded them to what is going on. Can they spell the words "State Bankruptcy!" Who in the H would want to move to any of those states including CT, NJ, CA and others! Can we say! "You reap what you sow"!

EZ,

Yes I saw the interview with the executive from Kahr Arms today that was done at NRA Show in Indianapolis announcing they were Moving their factory out of NY completely to Pennsylvania. Good for them and I think in addition to the ones who have previously made plans to move there will be more. And we need to have a party when NY, CA. CT and other states take a financial dump! I see NY is advertising for companies to come there and give them 10 year free taxes. Do they think people are crazy. The poor workers that move their with their jobs are going to be taxed to death for going there.
So good for all the companies that are relocating. As stated Remington and Beretta USA are going to build a new plants in Tennessee and some others are looking possibly looking to do the same. I can understand the companies not wanting to let all the good folks go from their jobs in the socialist states after they have served the companies well. But I think they will continue to scale down all operations in these states as people retire, find new jobs, or offer to relocate to the new facilities over time. The poor folks remaining in these states tax liability is going to go out of sight to make up for the losses caused by the idiot liberal democratic politicians running these states!

Blauvelt Is NOT NYC! It's In Rockland County, Approx. 90 Minutes from the City Line in the North Bronx. The company has NO offices in New York City. Same thing with Kimber, although they are much closer.

It IS NY,..just not NYC. There ARE a few small operations, including one that sells Ruger MKII & III & 22/45 Mods...out of Brooklyn.

My Uncle's Orig. Gunshop was in Little Italy In the Bronx, which Moved in the late 60's to Yonkers, Near the race track. I grew up on the weekends in that store and in The later location in Yonkers. I would go to either a Gun show with him or to Manufactures every weekend. The Good old days....when a kid could afford a box of 22lr's on his allowance...
