A company from Washington State called Bold Ideas making AR-15 rifles under the name of Colt Competition will build accurate rifles for match shooting. The are moving to Fort Worth. This is not Colt Firearms Mfg. Co.
The President of Colt Firearms like Remington and Kimber are staying in the North East. Colt is installing a small operations in Florida. These companies are on the government "Teat". They are not going to up-set the Liberal Democrats. Obama gave Remington a Mega-Million dollar military contract to stay in N.Y. They are all up for a hand out.

Yes, Colt is moving an AR-15 factory to Texas.

Do you have any actual proof for these accusations?

Remington was looking into moving to Tennessee. (as of August at the latest) BTW, Remington's corporate HQ is in North Carolina, and they have other factories in Kentucky and Arkansas. As for their military contract, weren't they already making sniper rifles for the military? Would you prefer our soldiers go into combat unarmed?

Ruger is planning on opening a new plant in North Carolina.

As for them being on the Government's "teat", somehow I don't think that's the case seeing how popular they are, and seeing how many guns they have sold over the years... Their total worth is most likely sky high.

Ive heard a few rumblings about Remington in Ilion thinking about moving but doubt they will consider until after they finish the Sniper Rifle contract they have thanks to Chuck Schumer. Their plant is huge and they have recently invested big bucks in it.

My take is they should either move or stop selling to the gov until NY undoes the Safe Act, hopefully it will be us voting out the scumbags that voted for the safe act!
