The NRA is a big organization and it has to be organized or it will be chaotic and ineffective. I donate what I can and it was a choice between the NRA donation and an upgrade in my membership last time. I upgraded. I get the digital magazine. I also support the GOA and the AzCDL.

I normally don't donate to the NRA. I am on my 2nd year of being a member. And would like to know if I should donate.
If you can afford to do so, donate to ALL the civil rights organizations who even remotely support the RTKABA!!!

I posted an infatic yes about donating to NRA, but did not go into any details on my thoughts.

Here goes.

I am 56. I first joined the NRA about 30 years ago. I upgraded to a life membership in 1997. Then it sat again. About the time the Kenyan and his minions got elected the second time, I knew we were in trouble. I could feel the guns being pulled from law abiding hands, and the 2nd Amendment was being attacked.

I joined several forums to get the real news of what was happening in the nation. I signed for NRA classes to learn more about guns and my 2ND Aendment rights. I increased my membership to Endowment, and purchased my wife a Lifetime membership. I also became a Certified Instructor for NRA.

I obtained my Concealed Carry Permit, and even though I am a retired class 2 FFL, I am more active in the firearms world than ever.

I am also a life member of GOA, so I have the two largest bases covered, to watch those crooks in Washington.

Do I think an NRA membership, and continued support of gun rights groups, in these troubled times is important? You damn bet I do.

I purchased several pockets full of Eddie Eagle dollar sized coins that warn children to find an adult if they see guns, and I pass them out to parents to give their kids.

I Start teaching my first classes next week, NRAs First Steps Handgun.

I am proud of the work NRA has done over the past months and years protecting our basic freedoms.

Please join me in giving to NRA, in any way you can. Every bit helps all of us good guys keep our cherished freedoms.

(Another NRA class tomorrow, can't quit learning)

Damn did you here the hinges creek and grown when you opened the lid back up on this thread
But in all seriousness, the NRA is one of our best and most powerful friends out their defending us. I wish more gun owners would jump on board and help get the numbers of membership grow to levels never seen before. I for one took advantage of the discounted life membership that was posted on this forum. I also am a member of the GOA, CRPA, Second Amendment foundation and donate to a couple others because I already know in my state I can write all the letters I want call until my bill looks like a 15 year old girl owns the line, it will not matter because my reps and senators do not care what I think they have their point of view and that's how they will vote. These guys have the people and the funds to bring lawsuits and lobby to those who will listen and shut down as many attacks as they can. As I tell many that think the firearm lobbies are pointless, I remind them about the fact that if it wasn't for those standing in their faces we would have lost our firearms in the nineties.

Bloomberg has donated 12 million dollars to close down the NRA. Sorous has donated 22 million to close the NRA. These are the rich Leftest who support world Socialism.
They and the Labor Unions are out to kill the NRA. Their "Baby Boy" Obama was busy forming the SS from the IRS and the NRA stopped his gun ban dead. They are out to shut us down. No one gives us 34 million we have to pay for it on our own.

I figure if a thread is still current material, It is fair game. You think a thread that sits a couple months is old? Na, just getting started.

The Kenyan and his minions are about to sign the UN treaty banning guns. This is a great time to call your representatives and to support the NRA.

Yeah, sure, donate.

It's your money, not mine.

Anybody else notice the NRA, GOA,

SAF, and NAGR send a ridiculous

amount of begging mail?

And I know I must be the only one

who noticed they had very little influence

getting the vote out in the last election. Of

course it helps them, when our gun rights

are in a higher state of jeopardy. Then they

can beg more convincingly.

So what if they send alot of mail.
Its because many people wont donate if they dont get mailk.
You cna alays ask them to turn it off and they will.

I donate regularly to the NRA ( and sometimes to GOA + NAGR) and just as important numbersusa .

Nothing gets done without money, and I never begrudge them asking.
