I agree with your statement that they should protect you and your property - the dogs see your property as theirs as well. Obviously yours are highly trained and will defend quite well. Unfortunately, not all owners are as diligent trainers as you are. It's the untrained or uncontained animals that this thread mostly deals with.
My apologies then my friend I didn't see that I thought it was a separate statement it takes many many hours to train a dog no where near do I claim to be the or even close to it but you are right I think people get these dogs not knowing wheat there getting thereself into

sarcasm is tough medium...its especially tough on the net.

Nothing worse than an untrained dog (the damn humans fault)...i have found it is MUCH more difficult to train the human than it is to train the dog!

Lets not forget about the Harold Fish story. After you try to dispell unleashed dogs sometimes you then have to defend yourself against the irrate dogs owner. Moral of the story, dont use 10mm unless you're willing to spend years in jail until they pass legislation to let you out. Only good thing Janet Napolitano ever did was sign that bill.

Yeah right. I've never seen an aggressive lab in my life. The dogs attacking other dogs at the dog park are always pitbulls, rottweilers, or german shepherds. Well them and those little floor mops with napoleon complexes. It's the owner's fault for not socializing the dog correctly, but there is a natural aggressive instinct in the breeds. There are several breeds that even without socialization are the sweetest dogs you've ever seen. You can't deny that they were bred for fighting and it's in their blood.

If you read in my previous quotes I stated that they were bred to fight that's how they got the name "pit dogs". Also with that said just because you haven't seen a aggressive lab dosnt mean they are not there you said your self there is natural aggression. Socialization is based on what the owners want me personally I socialize my dogs with only people that come to my house and teach them to bay or eat anything else but above all listen to my commands And my commands only. Say what you want my I have seen several obedient and aggressive labs that were very useful dogs. Me I'm a pit breeder and will back the
And there habits till I die

Bingo!!! Yep, the dogs fought in "pits". Dog fighting is still practiced in parts of OK. i know guys who used to breed fighting Pit Bulls. They say its in the genes.

The Russians have been studying animal aggression for about 100 years. The Russian Silver Fox Studies:

Quote:
Later experiments crossbred tame foxes with the aggressive ones and then bred the offspring back with tame foxes. Researchers found a genetic basis for the behavioral changes. They observed 40 gene differences between tame farm-bred silver foxes and aggressive farm-bred silver foxes, and 2700 gene difference between the two sets of farm-bred silver foxes and wild silver foxes. A paper on this was published in the 22 November 2005 issue of Current Biology.

Aight man never have I denied what the dogs are but I'm here to tell you I've bred over a hundred pitbulls and the remain to be a showmanship status. If you put the dog in a "keep" your friends should know what that is and also with the other techniques, the dogs will become violent. The only pit dogs I've had become aggressive I taught it to being that I use them as watch dogs if they were as violent as people put them out to be the breed would be decimated.

And also if you read the quotes I used a char pae as a example for the down breedings of the genetics. They was once world class fighting dog that's been bred down to a "rug" dog.
