I would like to take some of these people here on this forum that think socialism is so good to my wife's country and let them see first hand what it is really like. Hospitals that should have been condemned 40 years ago. Roads that are nothing more than pot holes interspersed with a little pavement. Apartment buildings that all look like giant grey concrete prisons. Grass that never gets mowed. One green pepper in the produce section of grocery stores, that is barely edible. A population struggling to find jobs. Alcoholism that is out of control. Corrupt politicians and law enforcement. You have to take your own sheets and pillows to the hospital. Hospital beds that a prisoner wouldn't want to lay on. (filthy with stains) Old ladies trying to sell fish on the sidewalk. The list is endless.

Next time just ask why is a "democratic" party supporting "socialist" ideas.

I've learned to avoid websites like that because it usually gets my blood pressure up and turns out to be a waste of time and effort.

But here's a different approach if you want a little entertainment: join the forum, get a username like Che or Mao and out-Left the most hard-core Marxist on the site. Lead them to the edge and see how far they follow you. Conceivably, you could end up having them all running out to buy guns to join your revolution .

I don't want to encourage trolling but trying to reason with idiots is unproductive. If you go in like Fidel on Steroids the responses might be more illuminating.

Good post...but they don't have to go to your wife's former country, they can go to any rundown urban area in this country and see for themselves what Hope and Change has brought to the 'hood...nothing, absolutely nothing. Take a drive down MLK jr Blvd, Anytown, USA, and you will see exactly the same situation that existed when the Nobel Prize Winner took office: the same working-age young men loitering, the same teenage girls pushing baby carraiges, the same dilapidated buildings, empty store fronts, alcoholism, drug abuse, violence, crime, the same blood stains on the street. And still they think he walks on water...

ABC evening news had a report saying that inner city dwellers say they would rather deal with the gang bangers than the police. I didn't watch the report I just saw a snippet.
