I try to steer clear of these threads, as they never fail to p!$$ me off.

The shooter had no reasonable expectation of trouble. He wasn't at the Bloody Knuckle Cocaine Bar, he was at a drugstore. I go there. Not to pick a fight, but for a sale on M&Ms.

He had a situation dropped on him. He was given a pretty grim choice to make. He made the same one any of us here would have, and has to live with consequences that, for many, have incredible moral implications.

The fact that a civil suit against him is even in the realm of possibility sickens me.

I'm pretty sure ending up in a kill or be killed situation wasn't on his agenda that day. Maybe he just likes M&Ms too.

How did we get here?

Thinking of it, he should go to the NRA, and ask to get some help with hiring the best lawyers possible to actually do just that and sue the suspects family. Hope 1 of 2 outcomes happen.

1- he wins and gets reimbursed for all expenses paid for ammo
or 2. they realise the legal system is effed up and push for tort and lawsuit reform.
I agree about going to the NRA, they have the best gun friendly lawyers who will fight till blue in the face for gun rights...a civil suit on the victim (who had no option but to protect them self) should be illegal when a crime is committed.

I'm just glad that he didn't pause to think about it.

Good day for the good guys and bad day for the bad guys.

Depending which state it is he (the other perp) can be charged with murder. Seeing as someone lost their life in the commission of a felony (even if it was his perp buddy).

Didnt find the camera footage, but here is an interview video. The 17 year old is being tried as an adult, so they release his name. And there is another 15 y/o that is linked to the crime. Another win for the good guys.

Good shoot... Good that an armed citizen was present to ensure the bad guys did not get the chance to create any innocent victims.

Bad posts... Let's knock off the "screw the family" comment gentlemen. The perp was surely a dirtbag and the correct guy definetly got shot however, expressing joy at the loss of life is inappropriate regardless of how justified it may have been.

I can guarantee the armed citizen who was forced to fire does not share your glee.

Tack
