Is this road rage or murder? The guy in the front car, did he do anything to provoke the guy following him? If not then the following guy pulled a gun and the lead guy attempted to defend himself.

They said the following car pulled his gun out first. That's unfortunate. I would rather have seen the guy in the front car protect him self and walk away alive. But it doesn't always work out that way I guess. One idiot got two people killed.

I get pissed when I drive around here (people are amazingly stupid) but not enough to chase them down, let alone pull a gun on them. I don't have my cpl anyway, but if I did I feel I'd be less likely to get that mad in the first place. Driving is not worth dying over.

IONIA, Mich. (WZZM) -- Two drivers are dead after a road rage
incident escalated into a shootout. The incident happened around 6:45 p.m.
Wednesday on M-66 near Steele Street.

Witnesses tell WZZM 13 one driver was following another driver too closely.
The first driver pulled into the Wonder Wand Car Wash parking lot and the
other driver followed him into the lot.

Witnesses say the driver of the following car fired shots, and the first driver
returned fire. Both drivers were shot and killed. Authorities say both men
had licenses to carry concealed weapons.

The victims are both from Ionia. Robert Taylor, 56, was driving a Chrysler PT
Cruiser. The other driver, James Pullum, 43, was driving a Ford Taurus.
According to Police, Pullum had two passengers in his vehicle, but neither
was injured.

People at a nearby laundromat found both men lying on the ground and
started performing CPR. AeroMed was called to the scene and landed, but did
not transport a patient to the hospital.

I used to joke that it was a good idea I didn't keep a gun in my car, because road rage would have me in prison in less than a day.

Then I started carrying ALL the time. End result? I'm nicer.

An armed society MUST BE a polite society.

Thank God this is the exception, not the norm. I am curious as to who was the aggressor.

You don't have to apologize, just quietly take it
when we are busting your chops, for it...

Well from what I have read and heard on this, here is my take. They were
standing with a car between them clearly in a heated verbal argument over
whatever happened on the road. Clearly if there was a car between them
there was no threat of death or severe bodily harm. At least not until one
of them pulled the gun. He, had they lived, would have committed the crime,
and should have been arrested.

I had an ass hat follow me off the interstate once, yeah I did cut him off, I
felt I had good reason, this was 20ish years ago. He preceded to cut me off
hit his brakes and then follow me when I got off the interstate. At that point
I called the local PD and drove to the station, clearly he had no clue where I
was headed. He was arrested as I pulled in the parking lot from the rear,
there were 2 cops waiting for him.

I knew the one cop, he asked what I wanted. I said
scare him good and let him go, small town justice.
