Yup, Darwin! I have told my wife for years to stay back from agitated drivers, I trust nobody anymore. WTF were they thinking, dead because they got mad! Drivers are much more dangerous as a rule than guns, driving like they are in a video game, no reset on the real deal! This Jamoke passed me on a double in a dip a couple days ago on a damn state highway, if anyone had been coming, we would both have died. Caught up to him 7 miles later at a stop light, risking both our lives gained him all of about 20 seconds on me!

Yep. It happens all the time. Then people let their ego's override their logic circuits and the fight begins.

I guess that it is a good thing that I have no ego to bruise, yes?

There is no guarantee that a guy with a permit will make a reasonable decision when under stress. It's easy to memorize the "correct" answers and circle the right choice on a written test, but when the SHTF, for some, it is all forgotten.
At least they both died, which should help clean up the gene pool...

it shows, unfortunately...that getting that license turns some CC carriers into "tough guys"......

i had a road rage exchange (i didn't respond much, i was stopped by the better half), but it made me think...if i ever get a CHL, i must NEVER respond to road rage unless it becomes life threatening.

CHL holders have a responsibility to be the adults....these guys (or at least one of them) simply weren't and it will likely be used against all CC carry holders by those seeking to take these rights away.

I really hope there is more to this story than someone tailgating another driver.

If I was to guess, at least one of these shootings was righteous and directly in response to the obvious threat presented by the other. If only one gun had been present and it was in the hands of the angry driver, there would have been at least one person dead anyways.

All the background checks in the world will not prevent tragedies like this from happening. Pretty sure if we did no BCG's whatsoever, our crime rates wouldn't climb noticeably, criminals hell bent on murder wouldnt buy legal guns anyways even if they could!

IONIA, Mich. (WZZM) -- Two drivers are dead after a road rage
incident escalated into a shootout. The incident happened around 6:45 p.m.
Wednesday on M-66 near Steele Street.

Witnesses tell WZZM 13 one driver was following another driver too closely.
The first driver pulled into the Wonder Wand Car Wash parking lot and the
other driver followed him into the lot.

Witnesses say the driver of the following car fired shots, and the first driver
returned fire. Both drivers were shot and killed. Authorities say both men
had licenses to carry concealed weapons.

The victims are both from Ionia. Robert Taylor, 56, was driving a Chrysler PT
Cruiser. The other driver, James Pullum, 43, was driving a Ford Taurus.
According to Police, Pullum had two passengers in his vehicle, but neither
was injured.

People at a nearby laundromat found both men lying on the ground and
started performing CPR. AeroMed was called to the scene and landed, but did
not transport a patient to the hospital.

People with that kind of reaction, letting their pride override common sense shouldn't even have a driver's license. They could use their cars as deadly weapons, and some even do that.
