the difference in a patriot and a traitor. had the American Revolution been won by England, then the founding fathers, the framers of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights would have been branded traitors, instead of hailed as heroes.
those who swear an oath to the Constitution, then try and subvert it, abolish it, and deny it, are traitors. our founding fathers, framed the Constitution with the idea of a government for the people, of the people and by the people, in that the government would serve the people and not the people serving the government, as it had been so for many years in England. they wanted a country where every person had an equal chance in the pursuit of happiness, not just those of royalty, privelage or wealth.
they haad the forethought to include an admendment, the 2nd, to protect our rights from those who would seek to control us and to try and deprive us of those rights that they were so willing to die for, to assure us of having individual freedom and the right to conduct our lives in the way we see fit to. these men were visionarys, patriots and heroes, who saw that without that admendment, our rights could be trampled upon and deemed unimportant, and send our country back to what we came from, a government that serves it's own cause, and not those of the people.
