We need to focus on solving the causes of violence instead of just tying to react to it. In a way, they are doing exactly what fienstein is, just on opposite ends of the spectrum. Neither are attempting to address the source of the problem. They are merely reacting to it.

Obviously the Liberal agenda doesn't understand logic & reason so let's see if they understand sarcasm. Please sign up for my White House petition to ban Assault Automobiles in the style of Feinstein's weapon ban. If we get 150 folks signed up it will go live on the White House site. If it then get's to 100,000 they will have to respond to it. Please sign it and pass the info along to other 2nd Amendment supporters!

Have to agree with viking on the link review of "just plain lame" First , sarcasm solves nothing and cynicism solves less than nothing. Second, a targeted ban on the most un-insurable cars would have actually made a a sliver of sense and made the thing mildly amusing. so , yeah "fail" from me.

I thought about limiting the number of vehicles to be "targeted" for the ban, however with the intelligence of our leadership I was afraid they might actually think I was serious.

Actually sarcasm and cynisism is actually a very good way to reach people since it often sparks conversations such as this. More people may begin to realize the absurdity of the "assault" weapon ban. Additionally I wanted to point out the stupidity of the White House petition site. They are not actually going to do anything differently than their pre-planned agenda by hearing what "the people" say anyway.

The point is that we do what we can do to protect our freedoms. The most important thing is to stock up on weapons and ammunition since that is the only thing that can keep a government in check when push comes to shove. The occasional use of sarcasm gives us a reason to not be miserable, pissed off citizens feeling like there is nothing we can do to make a difference.

<dons Confucius* hat> Being miserable and pissed off is the choice of the defeated. Seeing past difficulty and working toward solutions is the choice of the victor.

*not a quote.

I agree completely, and since I do realize that discussion and "spreading the word" about the absurdity of gun control is the single biggest thing I can do (short of keeping an arsenal), I am attempting to reach a broader audience using sarcasm. This is the kind of thing that could end up on the pages of the Drudge Report if we got enough signatures. Just trying to reach an audience.

Wow, I didn't know they bumped the number of signatures requirement to 100,000! I do like your petition by the way.
