It wouldn't be the first time the feds noticed some whacko posting stuff on the internet about doing mass mayhem and then providing him/them with the means to do it, and encouraging them. Or taking advantage of somebody unstable to generate a scapegoat.

If your goal was to take the US to the same level as other countries converting it to the socialist model you have grown to love and you see the resistance of an armed population that doesn't share your dream, standing in you way. You have to find a way to con the masses into believing private ownership of firearms is a significant danger to our children. It has to be something dramatic, and the more the better. Got the picture?
Is it a coincidence that all of the perpetrators (on some kind of mind altering medications) have committed "suicide". Is it a coincidence that every gun related tragedy gets front page national coverage while an incident where a privately owned firearm was used to thwart such an incident is hardly mentioned? Got the picture?

Get control of the media, then set it up so gun confiscation is accepted, and you are on your way. Worked in the Third Reich in 1933, why not now? Got the picture?

Red,

You can't expect Manta to get it. She was born into bondage as a British Subject and could not grasp the notion of questioning leadership.
The idea that the same resolve our founders displayed to secure this nation could still flow strong within the American Gun Culture is completely foreign to those who've never known true liberty.

She has been conditioned to feel good about following all the rules and would literally become ill at the thought of breaking one...for any reason.

Disobedience is a uniquely American trait...and eventually the world will thank us for it.

Tack

I was born a British citizen not a subject. And if you think living in N Ireland we always followed the rules and never question authority then you know nothing about history.

What disobedience would this be double parking.

PS I assume the (she) is a mistake.

Not an intentional one but it might fit...been 20 years since I've seen that one.

No, it's just my general observation of subservient people having served in a couple different locations around the world. Also a reflection of my own "evolution"'having been raised in a 70's and 80's US culture where even here I honestly thought that handguns were for bad guys...until I got into them.

When I was in Northern Ireland there was a struggle. It seemed to me the very Pro-British "Orange" Party was in control. They were always using the British thumb to disarm the "Green" party. Damn what a night mare Hell Hole that place was.
