So now schools are gonna be like maximum security prisons, with barred bullet-proof windows, locked classrooms with steel doors, armed guards, no way for a parent to get in to talk with a teacher? They even had a piece on the Today show this morning about a company that is selling bullet-proof clothes for kids, all disguised with bright colors and kid-friendly flowery designs on them.
We're even seeing instances on this morning's TV "news" of kids being reported for strange behavior and being taken against their will to be "committed for psychiatric evaluation". So now, anybody who pi$$es somebody else off can be grabbed and "sent away" just on the word of the jerk who reports them. Welcome to 1930's Germany, 1950's Russia. Just what Obama and company have been striving for for years.

Look up the school shooting on wiki, not always the most trusted source but it has a mostly complete time line.

The guards would have to posess some kind of authority and training. They couldn't just be a bunch of "concerned citizens" strutting around with guns, because the first time the SHTF, the "unqualified" guards would be the ones in trouble.

Agreed...there MUST be some intensive defensive shooting training and possibly crisis management training involved with ANY that would CONCEALED carryin the schools.

If you didn't get to, read the transcript: http://home.nra.org/pdf/Transcript_PDF.pdf

Of course, could you imagine the NRA actually being represented as the good guy? all tree-hugging hell would break loose.

I must have missed it, but doesn't Connecticut have pretty tight restrictions on modern sporting rifles and mag capacity? If so, how did the whacko have a 30 round mag?
Sorry if i missed it earlier in the thread.
