If some whacko wants to kill a school full of little kids, there are ways to do it without any firearms. Ways such as using a can of gasoline to get the building burning where the fire can develop to a severe level before it is discovered, maybe after blocking the doors to the outside. Or filling the building with carbon monoxide by plugging up the chimney(s) at night when school is not in session. Poisoning the food and/or water supply. Using a makeshift bomb. Putting a deadly virus or bacteria in the ventilation system.
Probably many other ways.

Lets say they take away all modern firearms a person could stuff 4 black powder pistols in their pants and cause just as much carnage and destruction.

What the headlines should have been last Thursday…

Newtown, CT – Today at Sandy Hook Elementary school a mentally ill man
(name withheld) who was a former student there was shot dead when he
shot out a window to gain access to the interior of the building. Responding
to the gun fire were several CCW permitted teachers the first on the scene
was Mary Jo Doe, she delivered two well aimed shots at the center of mass
of the intruder with her .357 Magnum Smith & Wesson revolver. Killing the
man instantly. The intruder had four firearms on his person as well as a large
amount of ammunition; it is for certain he intended to kill a large number of
students and staff at the school.

The citizens and parents of Newtown are praising Mrs. Doe’s heroic actions
this afternoon. Mrs. Doe is a first grade teacher at Sandy Hook Elementary
School. It appears that the intruder obtained the guns by murdering the legal
gun owner. Police will release full details once both crime scenes are fully
processed and preliminary investigation is completed.

I can't advocate killing anyone, but at least they serve to show the rest of us where the completely bonkers line is. We have freedom of speech in this country, good or bad, we need to learn to just laugh some things off. With that said, if another crazy...

So far this is what happened as far as I understand it.

Son shoots mom multiple times in the head while she is sleeping and destroys hard drives on both computers either before or after shooting mom.

shooter then gets in vehicle drives a couple miles to school gets let in and mows down everybody with an ar-15 or other weapons.

shooter shoots self when he hears sirens of first responders coming.

Now my fellow members here is what I don't understand. If son had behavior problems which he must have because according to news reports mom was getting ready to institutionalize him why did she have guns in the house that he had access to. Another question is did any neighbors next door hear any gunfire in the moms house ? I have fired the m-16 a2 in the Army and it is extremely loud. Has it been confirmed yet by anybody yet that she was actually seen at a gun range with her son? Is there any video of him entering the school? Was he wearing bullet proof vest or tactical vest and if he was wearing either were they his or his moms? Some news reports are saying that the ar 15 was found in his car is this true or not and what does it imply. Did he have a history of violence?

Heres the problem ... The facts are that people died ... The killer shot his self ... That's what we know ... The rest is half truths and a lot of media smoke screen and mirror illusions ... If we would shut down the media and quit this sick need to know who and what this ******* needed or wanted or whether or not he missed being breast fed as a child, this would not even be a national issue like it's become...
