Default concealed carry permit

I went to Basic Combat Training for the U.S. Army in August and I am trying to find out if my graduation from that counts as a concealed carry class. I have heard from a few buddies that it does but I would like to know for sure. I am in the state of Virginia too if that matters at all.

Thanks

Check the state statutes.
Each state is different.

(and asking legal advice on the internet is not normally a good idea. The worse lawyers are those who did not pass the BAR. And a forum is not the place to ask "Who passed the BAR?")

Will only answer because I AM a veteran, in Virginia, with a CCW.

It is up to the judge, but proof of military weapons training is one of the acceptable modes of training in VA.

thanks c3shooter, do you know if that would be just the graduation paper or the actual weapon paper?

neither, you qualified on the M16. HOWEVER, once you get to the real army, if you can manage to get on an M9 range and qualify it can count. but since your lower enlisted your best chance is to ask to be put on a detail for an upcoming M9 range and hope you get a chance to qualify on the left over ammo.

Your military counts in VA. I have been there and got it. Your fine just get your forms from your nco to show you have training. Good luck and thank you. Hey and I was a "lower enlisted" don't mind that talk.
