I wonder if it would be a worthwhile effort to set up a "Pro-gun Buyback"? i mean how many of you have had someone ask if a gun they have laying about is worth anything? A pro-gun buyback would work something like this. You would have a bunch of gun appraisers who would determine a rough value, the guns would be bought (with a legal transfer, etc) and checked against the stolen guns database. Stolen guns would be returned to their rightful owners.
Worthless guns would be collected and a nominal price would be paid to the person turning it in and then later sold to one of these other gun buyback programs to dispose of it.
Or maybe it could work in with a gun show? Bring in your gun you don't want around the house anymore and turn it in. Keep the good ones in circulation and dispose of the ones that are no good.
Decent guns of nominal retail value would be purchased for a nominal price and later auctioned off on Gunbroker for a profit. The proceeds would go to the NRA. Some are convinced to leave without turning in the gun. Most do not. They buy into the lies that the anti-gunners are selling.
