Default Colorado Billboard

A billboard in Colorado is sparking controversy. Some Native Americans find it insensitive. I for one, like this billboard. It should show people what this Government is capable of doing. History shows us this fact.

Thoughts?

The billboard puts it all into perspective really. It simply points out the plight of the Native Americans after signing peace treaties with the government...poverty, dependence, alcoholism. The U.S. Government said, "Give up your guns, we'll take care of you," with promised welfare, health care, education, a reservation home land, housing, etc...

Bottom line...Reservations have become small pockets of socialism within one of the strongest democratic nations in the world, well, what used to be strong democracy. And we all know how far along the socialist nations of the world have gone!

The original homeland security:

When the US gov found out they could not control the indigenous population, who they were stealing property and freedoms from, they gave them blankets laced with diseases.

Today, now that Obama failed in his gun grab, beware of gov agents bearing gifts.

Inscribed on a plaque at Auschwitz Concentration camp in Poland:

"Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it" -Santayana

If I were a Native American, I think I would appreciate the fact that someone was reminding Americans of their previous plight. While I don't believe we should live in the past, I believe we should be reminded of the lessons we SHOULD have learned in our past.

What I tell people is:
"Smart people learn from their mistakes.
Smarter people learn from their mistakes and the mistakes of others.
The smartest people learn from their mistakes, the mistakes of others, and FROM HISTORY and SCIENCE."
It would appear there are VERY few of us smartest people around these days!

The government's still pissed the Indians had repeaters

at little Big Horn, and they didn't . . .

Sort of like the way the current state department

is still having a big hissy over the Bay of Pigs

incident in '63. 50 years later we're the only ones being

punished for their screw-up. We may never

be able to get Cuban cigars again. All because they

have their feelings hurt, like a snot-nosed 4

year old.
