Default CCW question

I am moving to Florida, I have a DL and CCW from my home state. I have changed my address to my brothers and rent a bed room off him in his basement. So I can legally keep my home state licenses. To keep from having to wait several months for a new CCW in Florida, will this work?

I keep my lisc. in home state and have a legal residence linked to them. I get in the mean time a non resident ccw in Florida. After receiving a non resident CCW in Florida I change my lisc and resident to Florida. If I understand it correctly the transfer of a non resident Florida CCW to a resident is very short. Am I correct in this?
