Default Cc in a pa state forest?

Maybe a stupid question, but does anyone know if it is legal for someone to cc in a pa state forest if they do not have a cc permit. Don't beat me up to bad, I just worry about having some sort of protection when out hiking with the wife and would rather not break any laws. Thanks.

You cannot conceal carry anywhere without a permit!! Take a golf club, a 5 iron is a lethal weapon that is legal to carry!!

Not in PA. Why would being in a State Forest suspend State Law?

Google PA State Forest regulations.

According to the 1/99 regs, you

must follow all hunting regulations which

apply, if you intend to hunt.

Target practice is prohibited, except with

permission.

Unless I missed something, no other firearms

regulations are mentioned, or in force.

BTW, I may be asking a question soon, feel

free to share the knowledge, and

Welcome to the FTF...

Yeah, it will be a little difficult to carry a golf club on a 10 mile hike through the mountains. Maybe I'll pick up some bear spray. I just feel completely helpless when out in the middle of no were without some type of protection.

Bear spray is supposed to be more effective. (for bears)

You won't see many folks out there, in all likelihood.

Open Carry is also legal in PA. So you should be

good to go. I'd leave the golf club behind, myself.

Well, I've been doing some research and I did not realize its legal to open carry in pa without a license, except in Philly or in car.
