In the early 50's, a kinder, gentler time, my father was murdered. He ran a garage, towing service and auto salvage yard. He caught two men stealing parts and chased them off, they returned with a sawed off shotgun. I'm not saying that carrying a firearm would have saved his life, but not carrying one certainly did him no good.

My famous quote often heard in military circles: "Smoke'm if you gottem...."

Hello All.
Thats not very good advice to just give robbers what they want. A lot of times the robbers will rape and then kill the wife and husband. We live in a world today where there are no rules for the bad guys its the good guys who get the short end of the stick. What a way to look at this world.

When you are in a dangerous or life threatening situation, rules do not apply to good guys either. There is only one winner and a loser.

I keep a 50 caliber Kentucky Flintlock and a 50 caliber Hawken loaded above the fireplace and a loaded Winchester 30/30 lever gun behind the front door at all times.

Poor Sweatypie should be pitied. It's suffering from cerebral hemorrhoids.
If some dirtbag is immoral enough to rape, rob, assault you, giving in to that is simply giving the perp permission to do anything that suits him. He'll likely kill you just for the power trip. But if you fire a warning shot thru his chest, he'll probably not bother you any more. But there are some po' souls "that think resistance to crime is immoral" (quoted from Mas Ayoob).

Geez, and sometimes I feel weird when I have two guns on me at once. But then I feel naked when I leave one at home when I go for a walk. lol

It's too bad these people don't have a sign taped to their forehead, then I would know not to waste my time trying to save them if they were being raped or murdered.

A person who wouldn't defend himsef and/or his family deserves what he gets but that doesn't mean his family does. Hopefully some of them will carry a gun and defend themselves and the other family members, maybe with the exception of sweaty-pie. Let him/her experience the moment.

I can't believe this is coming from Idaho. Not everyone who lives there believes this way.

I believe in the Arizona law.
