Can I Keep A Loaded Rifle In My Room/House???

I live in CT; is it legal for me to keep a loaded rifle/ shotgun near my bed side while I am in the house? This question pertains to how I can legally protect myself in my own dwelling. Thank you for your response.

Call you local Cop station! Laws vary from State to State and from County to County within a state. Ct has funny laws, like DC. If you have children in the house it could be a whole different ball of wax - CT. was one of the first states to require child-proof gun locks -
