The invasion of Iraq was by at least a factor of 1000 the most disasterous decision ever made in terms of the cost it has and will have to the US. The "never met a merger we didn't like" non-oversight from their admin led directly to the environment that enabled the worst economic disaster we have seen in 80 years. Yet. the Bush apologists would have you believe Obama caused it because he could not breathe life back into the dead (economy).
Just once I would like to see a Bush apologist take off his blinders and see the reality of the horrible decisions made under Reagan and Bush and stop whining about minutia by comparison. Let's review:
1) Under Reagan, we armed, trained and supported the Mujahadeen in Afghanistan which became Al Qaeda and now are the home center for terrorism.
2) Under Reagan, we armed and supported Iraq and Saddam Hussein who became a problem large enough that we had to invade it and destroy the government, destabilizing the ME which is now collapsing.
But let's all whine about the fact somebody tried a stupid operation to penetrate the drug cartels and track weapons flow. The stupidest thing about the operation is to think ANY operation aimed at Mexican drug cartels could succeed since they own most of their government and military and no doubt some in ours.

OK, that's fine. I'm able to look objectively at past events in context and make a judgment call on the rightness/wrongness and legality of the events. Evidently, you don't care to do that right now.
But being an Obama apologist by assuming the folks you're speaking to are Bush fans is easily the most lame-ass thing I've heard this week. Lotsa luck.

I'm still a little lost on why everybody thinks it's A-OKAY to use
Eric Holder as a scape-goat for the administration
and let everyone else go free.
Wish I could use a scape- goat to cover
a string of felonies as long as your arm.
Must be nice when you're in the Gubmint...

I haven't seen anything thus far that implicates the current administration...? Maybe I just haven't seen that story yet.
Anyways, beggars cannot be choosers, and as it stands, we are beggars. We rely on the government to regulate itself (obviously shouldn't be like that) and as a result, we are beggars. We will be lucky to get Holder, let alone anyone else who may be complicit.

Ole Bountyhunter is about like any other liberal Dem you deal with...instead of facing the facts at hand. Muddy the waters with old news and ignore the facts at hand.
I dont apologize for ANY of the twits!
For the record there Bounty...I have NOT been a fan of ANY of the POTUS's in my lifetime save Daddy Bush. There is a LONG list of senators, congresscritters Speakers etc i highly dislike (d) to boot.
I see things objectivley and allow FACT to rule my opinions..instead of being blinded by party line BS...mayhaps you sir should try it out sometime.
On the face of it...Holder is a criminal and should be spending a LONG time in Club Fed in general population

Not club fed. Send him to Parchman MS. They still have inmates die from exposure there.

I don't think it's fine to let everybody else walk at all. I think everyone who hand their hand in the debacle needs to be held to account.
Frankly, I doubt that anything could be proved much higher that than the AG's office. Maybe to the Chief of Staff's office. For the most part, every administration has learned the lessons of plausible deniability.

They should hold everyone involved accountable for sure. Even those "just following orders". It's called having a spine, and following orders is no excuse. That was something drilled into my head in the service, you have the DUTY to refuse any UNLAWFUL order.

It's not right. If evidence links others into this, then they should all be held accountable, and not to the 'fired' category. To the prison category, as they are all guilty of being accessories to murder on multiple occasions.
