You lack the understanding of our state laws vs federal laws. Not every state has or even recognizes or opts out of federal regulations. Unlike Medieval England we really don't have one law for every citizen.
Not so much there fella...

The Klinton ban had the 'sunset clause' put into it where if not renewed after 10 years would fall by the wayside, which it wasn't. They simply ignored it more than overturned it. That clause was the ONLY reason it passed in the first place...

Leam23... Your correct, I've never walked a beat anywhere in America. The closest thing to "playing cop" I've done was "checkpoint duty" while serving in Egypt with the MFO on the Sinai Penninsula... And I can't say I enjoyed it.

The greatest gift a man can give himself is to know himself and persue a livelihood that he's "wired" to perform... and "policing" others IS a noble calling... but it's not for me.

All mindless bantering back and forth aside... I'm with ya Tack!

I own Smiths and GLOCKS, I sure as sh*t ain't gonna destroy them, that's just stupid but I know for a fact I won't patronize those manufacturers unless they get on board...

I am well aware of the differences between state laws ans federal laws. . There are already gun controls in force in American states. If i am mistaken you can put me right mag cap limits background checks.

Your point i did not say anything about the assault rifle ban.

My point is that gun controls have being put in place in America for years and there was no mass demonstrations to stop it. What makes some people think things would be different now don't think that all Americans are as pro gun as you find on a shooting forum. PS I don't thing there should or will be any big changes in the firearms laws in America.

manta :
If it weren't for the colonists rising up against the British when British troops marched to seize their gun powder, the Revolutionary War might never have started . Americans have risen against 'gun control ' before . Otherwise, we'd be speaking English...um wait...we are speaking English today ...LOL

Seriously - We can declare a general strike and bring the socialist traitors to their knees . No need for a revolution !

Everyone is upset over this lack of 2A support from certain manufacturers...but lets remember we are ALL in this together ladies and gentlemen. Lets not get unglued over a simple difference or two. We need now more than ever to remain united and stay focused.

SS...

I don't know if your familiar with the Smith & Wesson "Clinton HUD Agreement" and how it led to putting S&W back into American Hands but if your not... I'd suggest digging into it.

Yes, were all in this together BUT we... the American Shooting Community are the force behind the industry. It's our dollars, not Gov't investment that drives everything related to small arms.

IMHO there is nothing wrong with holding these manufacturers accountable by taking our dollars elsewhere and spending them with the firms that are not afraid to speak up on our behalf.

...and in the long run... we are doing ALL 3 a big favor. Should the global disarmament crowd get there wish and eliminate or severely restrict the private trade of small arms, 75% to 90% of current gun manufactures would be out of business.

Our Cops and Military would be relegated to using "whatever" Gov't approved arsenals could turn out.

Tack
