Big Brother Runs Amok
This time in Texas...

A STUDENT'S bid to make and test-fire a 3D printed pistol and then distribute it via the internet have suffered a setback. His printer has been confiscated.

Now thats wild, imagine that, press print for your new gun. The legal eagles might have a real problem with this one. They are to the point where they cannot write laws fast enough to keep up with technology. 3d printers are still in their infancy, before you know it, your gonna be able to print out a 50Cal MG!

I have a piggy bank for a 3-D printer now. :D

I read about a guy who printed an AR lower and used a regular upper with it. It worked fine.

But trusting a chamber to plastic (as with a handgun)? Doesn't seem healthy....

The ones they are working on now use a Steel Plasma Powder to build up the parts. It takes longer but The Military envisions the day that every Battalion has one to generate mechanical repair parts in the field. Wait till the KTel Version of that comes out in 20 years, Jr will be making Glocks of his own!

O sure, you can get the printer.

But what's the shredder going to cost ya ? :D

I am thinking no more than $10.00 for a decent hammer. :D

The gun is made of plastic, right?
