I wonder what Jim Brady thought about "gun control" before he was incapacitated and became a puppet for his wife's agenda?

IMO, When someone wants to run for office (cuz they can't hold a real job), they will pander to whoever they think will give them the best chance.

Pay attention to someone's emotions, and they will support you.

Feinstein is anti-gun, most of the people she represents are anti-gun. She presents bills to get rid of guns. Her people say "She tries to get my wishes to come true. I'll support her." Problem is that her showing of being anti-gun is a way for her to fleece people of their money and to stay in office. Kelly and Giffords are playing on sympathy to keep her in the lime light and national recognition for some future political move.
The other problem is that a lot of pro-gun people are the same way.

The main objective is to stay in office (cuz they can't keep any other job), and make money for themselves. As far as the people they represent go, "Let them eat cake!"

The real sad part of all this is she actually did like shooting the AR-15 and her and her husband were very pro-gun supportive. In her case she is more then likely not going to be in full control of reasoning for quite some time. In his case he is a slime bag for cashing in on these tragedies to further his fame.

This is one of the clearest non lunatic responses from the gun owners side. When you listen to Feinstein, Biden, Cuomo, et al wanted to ban firearms with virtually no knowledge about what they are talking about you begin to realize that rational thought carries no weight. The focus needs to be on the deranged people using guns, bombs, planes, baseball bats, knives, etc to kill people. Bombs (made with easily available fertilizer as a main component) and planes have had greater kills associated with them single firearms killings. There are many people that simply don't like guns but no one is forcing them to own or carry them. They also don't understand that those of us who choose to own are carry take that responsibility very seriously and it's not their right to take our rights away. If the want to solve a problem. Go after the cause not the tool because there are far too many tools available and many more deadly than firearms.

For a politician, to be anti-gun or pro-gun doesn't really matter.

Who heard of Cruz before he and Feinstein got into a shouting match?

Who heard of Giffords before she got shot?

To actually work against firearm violence would not put a politician in the media in the same manner as being anti or pro gun.
