I'm a member of Gun Owners of California and the Calguns Foundation as well as the NRA and Gun Owners of America. I take my Second Amendment rights very seriously.

The gun owners here are fighting the good fight. However, the leftist bastards run the State and we haven't been able to unseat them. Their strength and voting bloc is centered in San Francisco L.A. and Sacramento. That's where the welfare/entitlement/something for nothing class is largest and where the liberals who sell that philosophy are centered.

Then there are the liberal enclaves like Marin County, Napa Sonoma and even places like where I live, Sutter Creek. The entire coast is a bastion of liberalism as well. We are outnumbered, out-legislated and treated like second class citizens while illegal aliens are afforded rights that the left would deny to us. San Francisco is a "sanctuary city" for crying out loud, and L.A. may as well be with Villaraigosa as mayor and a proponent of Aztlan.

Staying and fighting may eventually mean just that.

Isn't it amazing that all of these idiots have a (D) after their names!
Wake up America. I am not saying that all the ones with the (R) after their names are all good either. But we need to start electing people who represent the majority of American principles, morals and certainly our Second Amendment Right. I hear what Opaww is saying and I understand the thought. But California is a lost cause. I own a law enforcement training company and we do classes all over the US for most major city, metro and government agencies. And even the California Law Enforcement Post is a burecratic power happy group. And will not even allow good training to come to California for the biggest part.
We have been requested by many major departments in California to come and teach our classes. And done only two because of the literal harassment by California Post. But since they are power happy and do everything in their power to keep any company that is not based in California out. Including Ronnie Barrett's Company. So we have had a night mare and as of next year we have too many great states and people we provide the class for, so F-EM. We will not be doing anymore business there. They will not even honor the officers certifications should they go to another state and attend the classes for official certification. Another story was when I worked for a weapon manufacturer. The state of California wanted us to send 5 Custom 45 Pistols for a destruction test (MSRP) of $1600. So they could attempt to destroy them so they would know if they would pass their standards so they could be sold in California. Our answer was the same as the above F-em! I have several friends in California and many have moved out. If I lived there and there was any way to get out! I would be gone. Most of the officers there I know can not wait to retire and move. So even though I wish there could be a change out there I think the mind set of the majority is to ingrained. Kind of like the idiots that wanted a change in the last election. Bottom line regarding the government of California that is one F-up State.
No disrespect for my friends and fellow officers!

I would leave in a heartbeat. Sadly, my wife is ill and this is where she's happy. So this is where I'll stay.

A long time ago the State Senate was county based just as the US Senate is state based. The Senate was Republican so the Democrats put a measure on the ballot to base the Senate on population. It passed and Kalifornia became a Democracy. A Democracy will not survive as it is strictly majority rule. As soon as the Majority figures out they can vote themselves a free lunch, it is over. The only way Kalifornia will get out of the mess is to go back to the old system. That will not happen with the Democrats in control. I still dont think it was legal but the Kalifornia Courts are prejudiced. It would have to go to Federal Court as a civil rights suit.

Several years ago we (the people in kalifornia ) voted to split the state into three states. It was a test referendum just to see what the people thought of the idea. It passed. Then .... nothing happened. I live north of sacramento in a very independent area and most of my friends have given up voting because we are so badly outnumbered by the south-land. The county of L.A. has more people in it than the whole north state. The largest city up here is about 85-90000 and a lot of them have moved up here for the lower cost of living and easy welfare. It didn't used to be that way.
When I moved here 30 years ago people worked in the lumber mills and cattle industry but the Dems had to protect the damned spotted owl and shut down the lumber mills putting thousands out of work.
If you are considering coming to kalifornia or doing business here PLEASE reconsider.
As for the antigun lawmakers, they will win. Simply because they will continue to get re elected over and over. They promise the illegals and the lazy all kinds of goodies to get their vote. Guess what? It works almost every time.
If I could sell this house and land I would be gone from here as soon as I could load the U Haul truck.

Sorry to quit the fight boys but Im too old to carry it anymore. Time for this old spider to find his hole and wait for them to come.

I completely understand your frustration. We're outnumbered and it's tough to carry on in a seemingly hopeless cause.

The company I work for provides turbines and generators for electric power. Some years ago we won an order to provide power for a Northern California project called Sutton. At the time California was deeply in need of elecricity. We were still held up and sued for supporting a contract that would provide needed electic power, but might endanger the spotted, striped, squared, confused liberal, or something else. Eventually we supplied the equipment, but I have no idea at how much more money it cost.

CA, could you even move over the Nevada line?

Like I said, I'd go in a heartbeat, but my wife is happy here. She is quite ill and I want her to be happy.

If it gets too bad, Nevada's pretty close for a bug out. However, I don't see that happening unless they try to take my guns. I'll put up with it as long as I can. I'll support as many 2A groups as I'm able, vote conservative, raise Hell with the local Tea Party and stand up to this socialist state and its pathetic, freedom robbing, asshat politicians.
