The Bath, MI School Disaster
The Bath, MI school was bombed in May, 1927. The bomber was a school board member who lost his home when taxes were raised to build a new school. The bombing would have been much worse: 400 pounds of explosive under another part of the school building failed to explode.

On May 18, 1927, 45 people, mostly children, were killed and 58 were injured when disgruntled and demented school board member Andrew Kehoe dynamited the new school building in Bath, Michigan out of revenge over his foreclosed farm due in part to the taxes required to pay for the new school.

a tragedy......all too quickly forgotten. columbine (and various other "gun" related, school killings) will be in the history books, but this tragedy was never, and will never be unveiled to our children.

all those little ones are angels now, and rest in peace.

he was also psychotic and unusually cruel to his farm animals, hated anyone that disagreed with him, you can guess where his money that he refused to pay on his homeowners insurance went to a real psychopath. I don't really remember if this was the first school massacre recorded or the second, but people paint up Columbine as the first a lot
