Wow I understand that the spas 12 is military, but come on! The only "assault weapon part" (in Feinsteins twisted mind) is the pistol grip. Its still a pump and more than likely does not exceed 10 rds already!!!!!

Think about it this way. First they pass the AWB, completely removing each one of those guns from the citizens. Next would be the ending of grandfathering, goodbye to 90% of the remaining amount. Then bans on who knows what else til they're completely gone or nearly there. After that they have complete control over us as a nation. They're not protecting a thing. They're just waiting for the right time to strike!

This is more people control than actual gun control. Obama is turning the nation into a collectivist society. Like Bosina we are being divided into collective groups.
We are becoming less Americans and more tribal. People are now know by color, wealth or lack of, sexual preference, etc. The struggle between these groups divide the country along lines of taxes, gun control abortion gay rights and climate control.
At the same time the nations wealth pours into the elite rulng classes in Washington DC as it did to ancient Rome. Washington DC is now the most wealthy city in the nation. That city produces nothing.

To add to this I'm not even giving up my mags if this passes. I'll just go store everything in a barrel up in my local woods. Or just screw with them otherwise(;

Sent the pre written ruger support letter.

Heres the reply from Suzanne bonamichi's, or however you spell it, office.

"Thank you for contacting me about guns and how we can prevent gun violence. I appreciate hearing from you.

The tragic shootings in a Connecticut elementary school, the Clackamas Town Center, and a theater in Colorado are the latest in a long list of senseless mass shootings that occur too often in our country. These examples, and others like them, show that we must do more to prevent gun violence.

Our priority should be to find ways to keep guns out of the hands of people who use them to kill or injure innocent victims. One of the first steps we should take is to pass federal legislation to require background checks on all gun sales at gun shows, a law that Oregon already has on the books. Cracking down on gun trafficking and illegal sales would keep more guns out of the wrong hands. I also support a ban on large capacity magazines like those used in the Colorado theater shooting.

Importantly, we must also address the mental health aspects of violent crime. Critical components of reducing violence include identifying and treating people with mental illness and offering education and resources to their families, teachers, and communities. We need a community effort to destigmatize those who seek treatment for mental illness, and policymakers must work to break down barriers to access these services.

I support the Second Amendment rights of individuals to own firearms for recreation and protection, but with every right comes a corresponding responsibility not to abuse or exploit that freedom to the detriment of others."

I'm so glad they actually meet the points on the original letter... this is why I absolutely hate politics.
