Can I just interject that if the NRA, GOA, and SAF had

done their jobs properly, and increased their ranks,

instead of constantly and shamelessly

pestering current members for more money,

we wouldn't NEED petitions or any other

BS right now, because the few million votes they

would have fielded would have won the election?

Yeah, I'll sign. But it's only going to get us

on some Owe-bozo $#!+list...

They have been trying that for years here in CA, I think a couple of states (New Jersey?) actually passed a law requiring it but it fell apart somewhere after that? Anybody have any knowledge on this? I do know that in CA they were trying to get serialized firing pins that would microstamp cartridges as they were fired. That fell apart too.

What's your point? I bet all of us already are on that list. Judge a man by his enemies and all.

another thing we need to do is contact the firearms makers and the ammo producers. this has as much effect on them as it does us. we the consumer support their profit margins. if we are not allowed to buy, they aren't selling a product, therefore they are losing money.

the private citizen is still the largest consumer of firearms in the USA, not the military or the government. banning or restricting firearms will have a trickle down effect that will undermine the economy in many different areas. firearms and ammo would just be the first casualties. what about the makers of parts and accessories? if certain firearms are prohibited, then their customer base shrinks rapidly. just something to think about.

Just checked and the White House petition has over 10,000 signatures which means 15,000 to go before December 13, 2010. The other petition has only 154 sigs and seems to have stalled out.
