Im thinking of moving this petition to another site, it has other petitions with great numbers. Seen a petition for Texas to secede and its votes were at 120k plus

if it would be more effective at gaining more signatures then go for it. I just liked the irony of having it on MoveOn .

There is certainly no reason not to have two or more petitions running concurrently.

If there were one that would go to Congress then I would say do both, but I don't know of any. I think it is very important that both the White House and Congress are petitioned because this would go through Congress first before being given to Obama for his signature. My hope is that it would not get that far, and that while going through Congress Obama would not continue to give his blessing to seeing it on his desk. (we cannot hope that he would understand our position, but he might listen to the voices of millions of gun owners).

Provide a link here and I will sign it (if I don't find it myself first and sign it.) In either case let's support our brothers on arms (ya see what I did there?).

anyway it works is fine with me. but the petition going to Congress might carry more weight in the long run. but a petition sent to the White House might just convey a message to that administration at our displeasure in another AWB renewal.

The White House petition has 2476 votes (including mine) right now. You do have to sign up in order to sign. 25,000 are necessary before December 13th, 2012 for it to be sent to Obama's desk.
