This thanks to Mike Vanderbreogh at Sipsey Street Irregulars:
Sipsey Street Irregulars

"From the Firearm Owners Protection Act
18 USC 926 Rules and regulations

"The Attorney General may prescribe only such rules and regulations as are
necessary to carry out the provisions of this chapter...

(3)... No such rule or regulation prescribed after the date of the
enactment of the Firearms Owners' Protection Act (1986) may require that
records required to be maintained under this chapter or any portion of the
contents of such records, be recorded at or transferred to a facility
owned, managed, or controlled by the United States or any State or any
political subdivision thereof, nor that any system of registration of
firearms, firearms owners, or firearms transactions or dispositions be
established."

This new long-gun regulation is substantially the same as one for handguns that was found to be illegal, as per above cited law. (Not that the sitting administration has shown much inclination to be thwarted by laws it swore to uphold when they contravene its goals.)

Its increasingly apparent our President hasn't the chops for the office.

Today he stormed out of a crucial budget meeting because he couldn't get his way. Kinda makes me wonder if his claim of being a "community organizer" wasn't an euphism for "community dictator". >MW
