I was there in OZ when it happened. They banned the guns due to the Port Arthur Massacre. Weird thing was.. gun owners were just complying to the ban. No arguements, debates or sort ever like what we have here in US. Seemed like they didn't fight for their rights.
Maybe i'm wrong , i was 16 that time..

Someone needs to forward this to the liberal S.O.Bs that are pushing so hard for the ban now, even though they probably would not understand the video, "let me tell you something folks, YOU CAN'T FIX STUPID.

The Left always ends up spending too much money. They crash the American economy. The Liberals base gets heart burn with their own failures. The American people see a weak government that has lost control.
The Limp Wrist Liberals try to show that they want to protect the masses. Look at the Old Dems that are still pushing this. These are the same old Leftest that pushed the ban someting 50 yeaqrs ago. It seems the young Liberals are standing clear of this Ban the Broom to stop Witches.
We have idiot gun owners who run down the NRA spokesman. Damn wake up, turn the lights on. Do you think Shumer, Biden and Philsteen are great speakers for the Left? Those people are only reminders of the failed Socialist movement of the 1960s.

Requirement all firearm transfers are processed through an FFL and a FBI NICS is performed - no exemptions ... High Probability

Classification of certain firearms to require a Federal Owner License to purchase or possess.... Like NFA, but will be licensing of owner, not individual firearms which would be registration. There are states with a Firearms Owner ID program... However, on a Federal program, I see Bolt, Lever, Pump and Breach Actions not requiring a license preventing violation of the 2nd Amendment.

Ban on civilian sale of high capacity magazines. The anti-gun groups want set at 10 round limit, but compromise to get passed may mean 15 or 20 round limit. You can definitely count 30, 50 and 100 round magazines being banned. Of course, how they do this would interesting, there are magazines marked "LE Only" manufactured between 1994 and 2004 that were made legal when the 1994 AW Ban expired. If the industry were to go to go back to marking over 10 round capacity magazines "LE Only", you would end up with some that were made legal and others that are not legal.

One industry person I spoke to thinks what may come is a ban on new manufacture of lowers as they are known today and require new lowers be designed that cannot use any of the old format magazines. Magazines for the new rifle would only be built in 5 and 10 round capacities and therefore, anyone caught with a magazine larger than 10 rounds would clearly be in violation of a new magazine restriction law.

That's not taking into account personnel such as myself with two weapons issued. At the same time, I can't think of a single military member that I've ever met that would see coming to your house to confiscate your weapons as a lawful order, no matter who issued it. We take an oath to protect and defend the constitution from all enemies foreign and domestic and a threat such as public disarmament would seem to go against that.
They did it New Orleans after Katrina. So ya....it already happened.

One city, where the folks were already devastated by a natural disaster.

Nationwide?? Maybe a different story.
