FDR was the first tyrant in America, he was the one to get rid of the Constitution and get rid of American Freedom.

Yep, we have another corrupt big city police chief shilling for gun control. Never mind that the idiot refuses to charge violent criminals who obtain guns illegally. Its all part of the liberal scheme to lighten the load on criminals while demonizing those of us who own guns for shooting, sport and/or self defense.

Convicted felons vote in over 40 states and they overwhelmingly vote for Democrats who will make their lives easier.

Quote:
The Washington Times wrote in a Mar. 8, 2005 editorial titled "Felons and Democratic Politicking":

"The bill [...] would mandate felon voting across the country, regardless of state law.

The bill shows that Democrats are more interested in the potential voting bloc than what the Constitution allows or what Americans actually want. [...]

If Congress passes the bill [The Count Every Vote Act of 2005, which failed to pass], Democratic electoral gains would be an estimated 1.2 million new voters."

Not really. Theodore Roosevelt and Woodrow Wilson were the first tyrants. (progressives)

If you get a chance, read the book:
"Theodore and Woodrow." How two American presidents destroyed Constitutional freedom

By Judge Andrew Napolitano.

Lets not forget Lincoln. During the civil war he became a constitutional dictator

Lincoln is a complicated subject because yes he did start the Civil War and did restrict states rights, but he also abolished slavery so I would say he was an pretty good president do to the fact that he abolished slavery.

It's too late to worry about past tyrants. We need to focus on the one we have now!!!

I am not disagreeing with you but, Lincoln did censor the press and detain "enemies". I am just saying that even though Theodore Roosevelt, Woodrow Wilson, and Franklin D. Roosevelt were the three presidents to take the office of the presidency from a "constitutional theory" into the modern presidency following the "stewardship/prerogative theory", Lincoln was the first president to step outside the Constitution as far as he did.

Yes, I agree that he did go far in some things, but he isn't all bad like some of history's other tyrants like FDR, Hitler, Stalin, etc.
