I guess I don't understand why anyone who is pro-2nd amendment would take such a survey.

On it's face, it doesn't appear to be an anti-gun survey (you can download and read the entire survey from the link above). Appearances can be deceiving though. I can see how some gun shop owners might think they are helping the industry by filling out such a survey, especially if they didn't know the credentials and slant of those doing the survey.

Ah, I see. What a little prick!

Yeah, the cover letter is very deceptive. Once you get to the questions though, at least to me, it's easy to see that this is politically motivated and will be used for such purposes.

The letter is deceptive and the survey poses questions with implied premises that aren't true or ignore larger issues. Maybe VPRP is very smart in crafting this survey or maybe they're very ignorant of the issues.

One thing is certain: the results will be interpreted to suit an agenda and won't be used to form objective observations.
