you hit the nail on the head with that one JD.

And to think, some of my friends wonder why I am renting a house in PA, and moving more of my familiy's belongings down every week. i will be done with NY the day after the local school district holds it commencement. Nothin' but love for all of my brothers and sisters in NY, but I am out!

I still don't see any updates on the Dwayne Ferguson case. Last I found was Feb 13. I'd hate to see this die a natural death. I think any outcome would be something useful for the gun enthusiast.

Witt, all of these things die in the media. If it's not pro-Obama, pro-Liberal, pro-gay or human interest, the editors kill the story and anyone trying to follow it are reprimanded. I wouldn't be surprised if someone in The governor's office talked to the media, the district attorney and the judge and came to "an agreement" that "benefits everyone."

If you do the popular things, support the popular positions, vote for the popular propositions and toe the (democratic) party line, you will find you have friends and get favors.

Most people don't complain about such things because liberals have become very good at over-blown accusations as a defense, i.e., If you complain about an Obama policy, you're a racist, or if you are against gay marriage you're homophobic, or if you think women should have to qualify for a position the same as men do, your a misogynist. Since most people don't like negative attention focused on them, these accusations cause them to back off and not counter-attack. Some try to defend themselves, which is the wrong course of action to take when an accusation is completely false or misdirected. Bu as long as the public buckles under to such actions and has a "go along to get along" policy, injustices like this will continue to go unprosecuted.

I just checked for updates on the Ferguson case myself. I found one article saying that one of the charges was dropped. But I never found a court date. Apparently there is no court date for Ferguson. Feb 27 was the latest article I found.

Update: he copped a plea. Sentencing to follow in August.

This pizzes me off to no end. If it had been anyone else without political ties to Cuomo, they would have had the book thrown at them.

He will get off with probation. With any luck he won't be able to own a gun. Anyone who thinks they are above the law does not need a gun.

No problem. i'll have to remember to check back around the 20th of August to see what he gets. I only knew about his plea deal because I am at the NY house during the week, and i saw this on the news at 18:00.

So I guess all NY residents who are arrested for a felony firearm charge in the future will have it reduced to a misdemeanor? Makes sense to me.
