Another story of Cops keeping a firearm.
It seems there are more and more of these stories coming out lately WTF! http://www.jsonline.com/news/milwaukee/gun-group-wants-police-to-return-weapon-used-in-justified-aldis-shooting-644fd4p-141851633.html

There seems to be a little bit of irresponsibility when a man's legally registered firearm ends up in possession of a felon.
|
Agree on the one firearm but the one used to thwart a crime should be returned, should it not? It starts with disarming a minority.
|
What? The police would never take a citizens legal firearm.

"Police spokeswoman Anne E. Schwartz said Tuesday that Al-Mujaahid's weapon is still considered evidence in the pending case against the two men charged in the armed robbery."
Really? How the hell is that evidence against them?? |
Unfortunately some agencies are run by anti-gun politicians. When anti-gunners are in charge, bad things happen. The man needs to hire an attorney and send a demand letter to the agency. I know of an agency locally that has made it a practice to destroy recovered firearms. It gets stolen from the jurisdiction of agency "A" and recovered by agency "B". Agency "B" fails to notify anyone of the recovery and simply chops it up. That is a crime in my book. They will pay eventually. Unfortunately, they pay with OUR money.
