1.) The media is influencing copy cats

or

2.) The media used to ignore the bulk of these stories, but is not choosing to cover them much more often because it fits the gun grabbing agenda.

I'm going with #2....A few years ago, there were 4 people shot at a mall where I live. Never made national news.

No and I don't want to internet investigate every one either, was just curios. As for 4 shootings in 4 weeks ..... so what, how many drunk driving deaths have occurred? work accidents? drownings? etc .....

I agree, that's just the narrative the MSM is painting right now "4 shootings in 4 weeks"

They're just up to their same ol' same ol'...creating news instead of reporting news.

In Texas, the law says 300 feet from a school, but that applies to public schools, not universities. It is actually legal to walk around campus with a gun (with CHL of course), but you cannot enter any buildings on campus because they are government buildings.
