AL towns override the second amendment
 

It looks like some towns in Alabama are writing rules that will allow police to disarm citizens during emergencies. I have seen a couple articles on this today and none of them explained what the guidelines were for violating the Second Amendment.

No idea where that town is? The press likes to find even small liberal towns that come up with these anti gun actions. I expect there is a story behind this chick blond mayor with the 1,000 yard stare.:eek:

The ordinance states officers could disarm individuals, if necessary.

Dollar says the proposal is just way to give officers more authority to protect themselves.

"We are not trying to infringe upon anyone constitutional rights whatsoever. It's just to protect the workers working out there in a disaster," Dollar said. "

The woman is a complete idiot and that statement is proof. Not trying to infringe on anyone's Constitutional rights, while infringing on people's Constitutional rights.

Stupid should be painful.

Northeast Alabama is not liberal country generally speaking.

The Mayor is about to get a lesson in law. Alabama has a State statute that preempts localities from regulating handguns in any manner, reserving that to the State legislature.

Unfortunately, the lesson will not be paid for out of the mayor's pocket.

Nothing new as 95 to 99% of ALL gun laws are 100% unconstitutional at ALL levels of government. Why would they chance the way are doing business now!:(

I live about an hour and a half from Guntersville and have a few friends and customers that live there and I believe if that dip-**** mayor tries that she will be rode out on a rail. I might could see something like this being tried in liberal Birmingham (notice I said tried, its way out of line with state law and the constitution) but not in Guntersville.
