Default Ak47's released from customs??

I sold something to another gun owner on Craigslist recently and we were talking guns and he said I should buy an ak47 soon because prices are going to go down because the atf or someone was holding a bunch of them in customs(I think he said customs) and they are going to be released soon? Has anyone heard anything about this?
Lord, Make me fast and Accurate. Let my aim be true and my hand faster than those who would seek to destroy me.
Grant me the victory over my foes and those that wish to harm me and mine. Let not my last thought be “ If only I had my gun” ; and Lord if today is truly the day that You call me home , Let me die in a pile of brass.

AK 47s cannot be imported.

Parts kits, everything except the receiver can be imported freely, and assembled on American made receivers.

Some few Kalashnikov action weapons like the Saiga can be imported because they are made to look like hunting rifles. (Frankenguns?) Thank you "Slick Willie" Klinton.

If you wish to convert a Saiga to an AK, you have to make it 922 compliant which isn't cheap.
I didn't fight to defend your freedom so you could vote to take away mine.

Thank you "Slick Willie" Klinton.

Thank Big Daddy Bush too. The Bush administration outlawed the importation of 43 semi-auto firearms under the "sporting purposes" clause of the GCA 1968.
