I thought it was more about buying back U.S. firearms that had been sold or loaned out to other countries?

Bummer on the Mosins.

I want either less corruption or more opportunity to participate in it.

I'm sure they did this because the list of mass murders committed by Mosins and such is a mile long. Let me begin to list them:

1.

Hmmm....

So it looks like CMP will have time to go through their backlog of Garands in hope that someday they will be able to sell them again. Or will CMP fold?

"The types of surplus weapons that have been re-imported under this provision are all more than 50 years old, and fall under the definition of "curio" or "relic" firearms. They include M1 Garand rifles and several other models -- a list can be found here."

Best quote though: "Sooner or later, we are going to get this right," Obama said that day in the White House Rose Garden, with the families of Newtown victims and former Rep. Gabrielle Giffords -- herself a victim of a gunman -- at his side. "The memories of these children demand it, and so do the American people," the president said at the time."

Can they be anymore misguided? Apparently so.

This is about moving the ball forward...
Certainly known to just annoy, this latest push satisfies the question "what did you change in gun control?"
Imposed STRICT new LIMITS on imports of MILITARY WEAPONS...

Actually just saw a post from Orest that he doesn't think this will impact CMP thankfully.

He is doing it just to say he got something done with his gun policy.

He has gotten a lot done with his gun policy dreams; that asshat has sold more firearms than any other U.S. president since Lincoln.

Under O, this nation is in its death throes. The only thing left is the funeral. Nobody realizes this yet and we may have 8 more years under Hillary who is just as bad or worse. She just keeps her mouth shut until she gets the power. I grieve for our grandchildren and the country they will have to live in after I am gone.
