The NRA has a post about this on their facebook page. I will try to post a link. We will see if it works.

Good link but where are the facts coming from. There are 2 separate stories, the first time he wore the shirt, and 1 day ago he wore it again.

I am thinking that if he was able to wear the same shirt, and 100 other students joined him and the school is refusing to comment...I have all the facts I need. My 2 cents anyway.

If students would have worn tee shirts proclaiming there right not comply with the Jim Crow laws they would have been suspended and arrested too. I guess this shows prejudice is just as alive and well now as it was in the 40's and 50's!

According to the news report I read, before I saw the one you posted, the boy was disruptive and argumentative. How disruptive, I don't know, but I do know the arrest was not because of the t-shirt.

Even if the kid was disruptive and argumentative, even if he flat out cussed out the teacher, he SHOULD NOT have been arrested. Suspended or detention/Saturday work day, yes. Arrested and booked? HE!! NO. When do these silly "arrests" stop?

Tardy to class? Arrested. Not having a pencil and paper? Arrested. Being rude? Arrested. Clowning in class? Arrested. Etc...

If a kid becomes violent and assaults a teacher? Arrested. Kid gets in a school yard fight? Call the parents/suspend them. Kids shouldn't be getting arrested for all this petty crap that kids normally do while in school.

If this attitude was taken in the late 90's I would be serving a life sentence with no parole. Meanwhile people who rob, rape, molest, and murder are suffering the same fate as these children, arrested. What a f'n joke.

Teachers must be so freaked out to attack students for wearing a t-shirt. They must not have a clue as to how to respond to these issues. It is strange for them to say your shirt affends me . I hope they sue the shyt out of the school.
