It is a gamble for either side of the issue. A ruling will most likely be unpleasent for one side or the other.

We have a pretty Conservative Supreme Court and as of lately Conservatives have been Pro-Firearms.

Some are very excited, even optimistic about this opportunity. I do not share their enthusiasm. We, in all likelihood, have 4 Justices that will uphold the right of individuals and 4 that clearly will not. Leaving such an important decision to Kennedy, which is this Court's O'Connor is like playing a game of Russian Roulette.
