I think he's the only one in the right place and the right time and has the balls to do what is needed, to hell with political correctness. The majority of people in similar positions are too worried that they might offend some liberal tree-huggin a-hole and not get re-elected, or,god forbid, get some bad press!
He has the balls and doesn't care what people say, he knows he's right!

That isn't a good idea. I agree with the sentiment but it's a very slippery slope. Every citizen of the United States has a right to vote, provided they are over 18 and aren't a felon. The moment we step on that, we might as well throw the whole constitution out the window. It's an all or nothing ordeal. Same as the 2nd amendment.

I think you should have to prove you paid income tax in the last year to vote. I'm tired of people who list "Public Assistance" as their "Occupation" voting in the slimedog who promises to give them more money.

I dunno, I like the idea, but at the same time it allows for those people who have jobs to decide what to do with those who don't... Being currently unemployed, I'm not comfortable with that idea. That being said, I am also not on any form of government assistance. My family has a little bit of money that was inherited, so, for the immediate future, I'm doing ok.

Actually, until around 1850, there was a property ownership requirement for voting. It was a way for insuring that the people voting had skin in the game. Not going to say that shouldn't have been changed, but there was some wisdom there.

Agreed, but it still causes problems. I like the idea, I'm just saying there is potential for it to be abused, and in this country, if it can be abused, it will be.

Could it be that the rest of our country is that full of Socialist Pantywastes?
|
Yep, the country is chock full of socialist pantywaists. Now that a liberal judge has shot down part of the AZ law, politicians in other states who were thinking of passing laws like the one in AZ are wussing out.

Only someone who doesn't know anything about Mexican drug cartels would believe this story.
The narcos don't give a damn about immigrants. They don't give a damn about anything that doesn't have to do with making them rich. If anything, they are profiting from illegal immigration being as difficult as it is, because they can get paid more from coyote operations. But those are extremely minor side-businesses for the cartels.
Seriously people. Screw your heads on and take another look at this. It's total BS.

So, if you're retired or disabled your rights as an American citizen should be nullified?
While I'll agree that many in the business of producing welfare recipients will always side with those that will give them more money I don't think taking away rights of the people is a good idea. Using this mind set I guess I should have no right to vote because I was sorry enough to tare my spine up to the point that I can't work anymore. What I receive from SSDI is not enough to have me pay any tax on it. Shame really...I thought I'd been a good conservative all this time.
