Default You know what I completely despise???

That Dudley Do Right Ruger guy on the YouTube Ruger Channel!!!!!

"Simply reinsert the bolt at about a 45 degree angle to the receiver, with the rear end of the bolt angling downward, just push the bolt forward in the close and lock position"......

DUDE IT DOESN'T WORK THAT WAY, YOU FORGOT ABOUT THE PART OF STAND ON YOUR HEAD, JUMP UP AND DOWN ON ONE FOOT, FEEL YOUR BLOOD PRESSURE RISE BECAUSE YOUR HEAD IS THROBBING, SAY A LOT OF CUSS WORDS BECAUSE IF IT WAS NOT A $700 RIFLE YOU WOULD SMASH IT LIKE A ROCK STAR ON THE TILE FLOOR LIKE A ROCK STAR SMASHES THEIR GUITAR.....

There, that's all I have to say about that.

He definitely has value. Those parts have to be machined to assist with reassembly and disassembly or the film took him 50 takes on some of the applications to make it look so easy. Had same opinion when I first got my Mark III and started taking it a part and putting it back together, still have same opinion have taken it a part and put it back together a couple hundred times and it is still not as smooth as he does it.

I am thinking of re-machining mine, to make it easier to strip down and also put back together.

Don't know about any of you, but I have never, in all my years, had any problem re-inserting the bolt in any Mini-14 I have worked on. I have had a few Mini's pass through my hands.

Jim.......
