same here. BUT cabelas was wiped out last time i got there. talked to a guy at wal-mart. truck comes in at 7A...ammo gone by 730A. not much chance for us working fellers!

Problem is that if you take the day off to buy ammo in the morning you have all day to shoot it then you need another day off to buy ammo then..............

You have to shoot more bolt and lever guns so you can save the semi auto ammo

My mosin is bolt action. I HAD to have a semi auto

hey, i get it! but, i still think the best advice is to wait it out. wrong market.

i'd bet inside of 2013, you will be able to get a new mini for under $800 (no mini should cost more). until then, enjoy that 10/22...if you can find the ammo...

Will a mini-14 handle 5.56 NATO
I've heard some 223 rifles won't handle NATO ?

mini is chambered in 5.56. handles it just fine, i've put about 50 through mine, the rest 223. normally, 223 is cheaper.

only mini not chambered in 5.56 is the target.

and no a 223 chambered rifle should NOT shoot 5.56.

Only the target model mini 14 is 223 only.
